  LED is a high-efficiency light-emitting diode device. It must work in a DC constant current environment to continuously and stably emit bright light and illuminate the world. The pros and cons of the driving power supply will directly affect its brightness and light quality. How to choose a good LED filament drive power supply is the key to making LED filament lamps with excellent cost performance.

  At present, there are three driving power sources for LED filament lamps:

  One is the resistance-capacitance step-down power supply that is about to be eliminated;

  The second is the current mainstream non-isolated switch constant current drive power supply;

  The third is the emerging high-voltage linear constant current drive power supply.

  At present, the mainstream products of LED filament lamps are C35 candle lamps and A60 bulb lamps. The space where they can install the driving power is very narrow.

 

  At the initial stage of the development of LED filament lamps, only a ring-shaped plastic part was added between the glass bulb and the lamp cap to expand the space that can accommodate the power supply module; with the advent of a new generation of LED filament lamp dedicated driver power chips, many protection functions necessary for LED driver power They are concentrated into the chip, their application circuits are more concise, the parts surrounding the application circuits are more scarce, and the production cost is further reduced.

  Today, a new generation of driver power chips and solutions with a smaller footprint can meet the requirements of filament lamps without plastic parts.

  At present, the grid voltages of countries in the world are different. Many countries have two different grid voltages simultaneously used, such as the United States, Canada, Mexico, Japan, Brazil, Vietnam, etc. The grid voltage ranges from AC100V-240V, and the span is large. This requires the power supply of the filament lamp to be suitable for the input voltage of AC100V-240V.

  The basic requirement of filament lamp working voltage and current is DC150V/10-30mA, so the power supply will be designed to boost (input AC90-130V), step-down (input AC180-265V), and automatically rise and fall according to different input voltage ranges. Three different modes of voltage (input AC90-265V) to adapt to different grid voltages. 

  Conventional parameters of the driving power supply for mainstream filament lamps: 

  1. Candle lamp power: 2W, 3W, 4W; output voltage is DC150V, output current is 10-12mA, 14-15mA, 20-22mA;

  2. Bulb lamp power: 2W, 4W, 6W, 8W; output voltage is DC150V, output current is 10-12mA, 22-24mA, 33-36mA, 44-48mA.
